Tiny Tots – Registration
The Tiny Tots Program is for children aged 3 – 4 yrs old (born 2018-2019). It’s a fun based program focusing on developing gross motor skills, fitness and balance and is heaps of fun. All exercises incorporate running, jumping, throwing with the aim of getting them ready for little athletics for ages 5 and up.
The Policy was framed after due consideration of the National Guidelines for the involvement of children in Athletics. Centres are allowed the option of providing a Tiny Tots program for children three and four years old. Parents are required to stay with their Tiny Tot athlete for the duration of the session. Helping the Tiny Tots coordinator is always appreciated as well.
Activities: No times, no places, and no measurements will be given to the Tiny Tot Athlete. They may compete in a 60 m sprint at the maximum. All activities are in accordance with Queensland Little Athletics Association (QLAA) programs.
Tiny Tot athletes will be issued with a registration pack including registration number, age patch, sponsor logo and more. However, the club uniform is optional. At Kenmore we suggest buying a plain red shirt for the season.
Tiny Tot’s are only able to take part in athletic activities at the Kenmore Centre. No activity is permitted beyond centre level. However Tiny Tots are invited to the annual Western Suburbs Games and this is usually a great experience for all involved.
Kenmore Little Athletics will decide on a season by season basis, as to whether Tiny Tot’s will be held during that coming season based on assistance of parents willing to run the group.
Cost: $95 for the season (approx. 14 one hour sessions from 3 – 4 pm on Saturday afternoons)
No parent participation fee is charged to those families who only register a Tiny Tot athlete with our club.
The 2022-2023 Tiny Tot’s Co-ordinator is Adam Stokes
